Few days back, I did another flagday... this time, in Central... I thought, no problem, a peice of cake, like last time. Then I find out Central has a tougher crowd. It was definitely harder to sell flags. While moving around to find a good spot, me and my buddy saw an elderly beggar on a busy street corner. I told him that we should find a different spot, so we wouldn't "steal" donations. It made me realize, service doesn't necessarily have to be a morning-long dedication to do a flag day, or volenteering for a landscaping project, it can also be in the little things we do, such as helping a buddy out with homework, or willing giving up your can of Coffee to someone who only slept two hours to study for a test, and doing likewise for a few others. I believe if we do the little things for everyone, not just our friends, the city, or at least the school, would be a better place. To begin change, one must start with himself, so I start there...
