Now I have two small 16oz. manual drip makers, several mugs, (with a quick drip maker for lighter brews)
(two of these to be exact)
While receiving refill packages like this or greater (with confectioneries on the side):
( my latest refill package is near triple this-sans milk)
And almost every day since the beginning , my regulars (Shing Chi Ho, Sam Thoo, Gideon Woo, and soon after, Jason Liu) have been faithfully stopping by the art room (or somewhere nearby) for a cup, sometimes bringing in a friend:
Every now and then I did an extra secession after school:
I can honestly say that the project is a success in my eyes:
- I had managed to develop a certain taste and have had my customers critique said taste
-I have done so Regularly on a near daily basis
-I have improved my social skills somewhat, providing an environ for genuine conversation and encouraging my regulars to slow down and enjoy the coffee (and perhaps the beauties of the moment)
But most of all,
I've brought smiles to peoples faces (and possibly prevented them from a detention or two for nodding off)
To improve, I would need to:
-expand my storage area (the bottom half of next years senior locker should do nicely)
-increase my coffee-making capacity (I've looked into borrowing Mr. Hogshead's old maker)
- Stress the importance of slowing down and enjoying the coffee
Perhaps I could,
-Work in conjunction with the freshmen and sophomores to start an en masse, on campus delivery service once a week, (perhaps providing for their Mad projects)
-Expand into confectioneries and hot Chocolate, to establish a true "Closet Cafe"?
- Take on an apprentice (or apprentices) to cement the club's legacy and survival
-Apply for official recognition as a club and perhaps have long jackets made
